  3. No. Carbon Dioxide simply stops heat from leaving the earths atmosphere. There is a large amount of CO2 in the air right now. As we ad more, the earth retains more heat.




    Over the last few hundreds of millions of years, the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere has changed dramatically many, many times. Some periods had smaller amonts which resulted in an ice age that lasted for thousands and sometimes millions of years. Other periods had larger amounts which caused the polar caps to melt.




    Global warming is nothing new to earth and was bound to naturally occur. Mankind has simply sped up the process. In a few million years, there will be another ice age and the world will be a frozen planet yet again. Whether mans is here to see it, you and I will never know...
