  1. No, in fact I sold one with tile (ceramic tile throughout).  I got a great price.

  2. It depends on the area of the house if its by the water do not put down hardwood floors.

I live by the ocean just a couple blocks away in a ranch and we have gotten termite damage throughout the house in the floor boards now my parents have to rip up all the floors and put down tile. I think if you put hardwood floors it does raise the value becuz buyers would like it but by the ocean I wouldn't.

  3. No, it doesn't bring down the value.  The on;y problem with it is you eliminate all the buyers who don't like it.  As was said, it's REALLY hard to get up.

  4. It depends on the quality of the installation and the type of tile. It is a pain to remove so if someone wanted to take it up they would be in for a huge expense. If it is a good job they may never consider taking it up so it's a non issue.

  5. It really depends on the area the house is in. If it's warm most of the time tile is actually preferred but if you are in an area where there are 4 seasons, then yes tile through out will not give you all the $ in return. I would go for a cheap hardwood flooring or laminate wood flooring in at least the living room and hallways. Best of luck on your remodel!
