Does certain medications come up in p**s tests for job employment?

I have been on few meds that are prescribed to me they are ritalin and vicodin do they come up in a pre employment p**s test? i have a big second interview and have to take a p**s test and i just am wondering what if it does what do i do or say?

Both may show up in your system (vicodin definitely will as it is an opiod) - if you are legally prescribed these medications, tell them. Employers will not deny you employment, although you may have to bring a copy of your prescription to the test center and your dosage may be referenced to your results.

Just make sure you mention it to them ahead of time - it will be far easier to explain than if you fail a test and then try to explain (they might not even tell you why you weren't hired).

Yes, Vicodin shows up in pre-screening drug tests.  With a valid Rx, I have been taking it for a long time, had an interview, aced it, was sent to the drug test, and failed.  They denied me big time.   They wouldn't even listen to my reasons.
