I have always assumed that they do, so I turn mine off and charge it at night. Is there reason to believe that it doesn't? What are the best cell charging practices? Thanks for your help.

  1. Every day u charge ur battery if u use it too much till  it shows full battery and then switch if off immediately and when u find that battery is low u can again charge it.But never keep the battery charge after it shows full battery as it may harm battery

  2. Um.. I don't think it would make that much of difference but I know that if you use it a lot while charging, especially talking on it while charging, harms your battery life a LOT.

  3. BEST practices are to let the phone drain completely on occasion and then recharge.  Although batteries have improved over time, they still tend to keep a memory in that if you don't use the capacity of the battery, it will depreciate in run time.  Some better phones will "condition" the battery, but this feature on a phone is likely to be undocumented and therefore finding a phone with battery conditioning is hit or miss.

As for the phone being on while being charged:  Generally, the charging circuit is a power circuit as well and will power the phone as well as put a charge on the battery when plugged in.

  4. well that was the problem with sodium batteries, the batteries today can be used as per your comfortableness, use it while charging or anything, but if possible try to switch off ur phone when u sleep, after all its a machine.

  5. I always keep my cell on while charging and Ive had it for more than 27 months (2 years and 3 months) and it is as good as it was before.I just have a regular cellphone.
