I always wanted to know does it do anything to your credit?

  1. Not as long as you pay it as agreed but if you don't and it goes to collections then it's just like any other debt and doe's indeed mess up your credit bad especially if the State gets a judgment against you.


  2. It will if you don't pay it. If you default on your child support they will put a judgement on your credit...a judgement NEVER drops off (not in 7 years) only falls off when you pay it and they will garnish your pay check, they can go into your bank account and take it. Pay your child support people! Lol!

  3. Not really....defaulting on your child support obligations is a criminal offense that is dealt with differently that defaulting on credit card debt, for example...

    However, any sort of judgement associated with child support may be put in your credit report.
