Does childminding provide a good income?

i wanna become a childminder i have a level 2. jus wanted to knw if the money is good or stay working in a nursery

I presume you're talking about what we call "babysitting" or a "nanny"?

Try going to your local council, they can let you know if there are any childminders in the area and you could always contact them and ask questions, they are usually very helpful.

The money you will make is down to area that you can cover.

Plus it will depend on the hours you work.

My sis makes good money but she can sometimes be working long hours if a child needs dropping off early and you are prepared to do it.

i think u could make double what u can in a nursery i looked into it and seems like a good idea. You work from home and get paid what more could you want?

The paradox to this has really baffled me. but that's another issue. Thanks for the idea which lead to an issue I may want to comment on.

This is a difficult situation to earn money from as opposed to a regular child care job. You work from home, so you're never away from work, are totally dependant on another person and their children so you cannot guarantee your income and some parents Can be really terrible when it comes to the childminders/carers they employ. I did childminding for 6 months when I couldn't find another job and as I had a young child at home and I will never do it again.

It can provide a good income,as you can choose how much to charge,within a reasonable limit guide limit.

There are a lot of things involved with being a childminder,so you would have to arrange a meeting with social services to see what the cans and cant's are.
