life expactancy is 58 yrs old so when they die they can't get retirement $...why?

mandatory 17hr overtime if needed? on call etc

who the h**l can work 17hrs a day?

  2. To answer your question, no. It is just cheaper to pay overtime than it is to hire more people. I hate this system but it is a fact. And yes, it is a tough job.

  3. The life expectancy is shorter due to the stress levels that are there every minute of every day. It takes it toll year after year. It is also why we have the highest divorce rates.

    As another poster said, it is also cheaper to work us to death with mandatory overtime that hire more Officers.

    The only thing I can say is that you get used to job and stress levels. I honestly cant imagine doing a normal office type job now or working 9 to 5 with weekends off.
