Question:

Does clomid make your cycles regular each month?

My first cycle on clomid, I ovulated on day 14, and had the iui on day 16. This is my second cycle on clomid and it's day 18 and I still haven't ovulated. Should be tomorrow. The np looked on day 16 and I had 2 follicles about 18 mm in size.

Why am I ovulating so late this time? I would've thought that the clomid would make all of the cycles identical. Should I write this cycle off as a failure?

  1. Some people don't ovulate until day 21 or even later on clomid. Are you using ovulation predictor kits to find out when you ovulate? Try that. You might still ovulate, don't give up hope yet.

  2. I took two cycles of Clomid, and I didn't ovulate either time. (I stopped taking it because my husband and I decided that it wasn't the best time for me to be pregnant). I don't think that the Clomid will make you ovulate at the same time every month, I think that it is just to make you ovulate in general. It can also take time to really work, some people will go through 5 or more cycles of it for it to finally work... I wish you luck with trying to conceive!
