I sure hope so.

If you were in an all Male if you are male  or all female setting threw our most of your education.

How in the heck would a girl act if she had barely been exposed to a guy before.

May be kind of awkward not knowing .

Yes, most of the time they do.  My 25 year old daughter had co-education and she wouldn't be where she is today without it as most of her handicapp is in the social skills area.  She still needs supervision when interacting because she doesn't know a stranger and doesn't understand about proper touches.  ( she works outside the home and has worked at her current job for 5 + years.)
