Does coffee really shorten the growth of a person?

when i was younger i was told not to drink coffee because then i wouldnt grow as much as i would. but i still drank it anyways and my height is pretty average but i was wondering would i have been a few inches taller if i didnt drink coffee?

  1. Im not sure what the answer is but I will tell you that I got hooked on coffee starting at 13. My mother did let me drink it. I am now 27 and 5'11" so I dont think it stunted my growth much.

  3. I think its an urban legend honestly.. I have never seen a study on it though.

  5. There's no proof caffiene stunts growth.

    If anything, people are worried that coffee and sugary, caffienated sodas replace fluids that would tend to promote growth, like milk or juice.

    I doubt you would have been any taller.
