  1. Lol!! Ole wives tale....

  2. no, just an old wives tale

  3. Well, how interesting. I always just thought it was a joke, but I guess some people think it to be real. Let me tell you this...

I am 51 years old. My mother, being an "old-school" mother, since that was pretty much all there was in 1957, started giving me, (and all my brother and sisters, I might add), coffee as soon as we were able to sip it from a spoon. So it's safe to say I"ve drunk coffee all my life.

I got my last growth spurt at 22 years of age, at which time I hit 6'5" and weighed about 215. So if coffee stunts growth, then thank God it did, coz I would have been too tall to stand up in a room! As it is, I'm too tall to stand in some airplanes.

In essence, no dear, I don't think it's true. At all.

Although, there's not much telling with that c**p they pass off as coffee at starbucks. That has got to be the worst excuse for coffee I've ever tried. If you want real coffee, get yourself some Community dark roast, best coffee made.

I don't even think starbucks IS coffee, just brown water with some nasty flavoring in it.

  4. no. but cokes stops you from growing because those carbondioxides damage/eliminate calcium which is developing in your bones.

I think coffees forces your heart to beat a bit faster. If you are tired of it but still drink coffee, you'll get pain all over body or get headache. So coffee is ok, but dont drink too much.

  5. I'm pretty sure that's just a myth, I don't know if there has been any scientific proof that coffee will stop your b***s from growing.

  6. Nope wont stop either from growing to their natural size. and it tastes great!

mxzptlk PLEASE POST OR EMAIL THE REASON YOUR MOM GAVE YOU COFFEE AS A BABY--CHILDHOOD. i LOVE OLD WIVES TALES AND WHAT PEOPLE THOUGHT THINGS DID. You dont allow emails :(

  7. NO

  8. no .... and those frou-frou drinks don't have very much coffee anyways.  They're more like milkshakes.  Coke, pepsi and tea have as much (or more) caffeine as coffee - and so does chocolate........
