  1. im always highlighting my hair and mine is in good condition the only down fall is that blonde tends to dull rather than fade so a good shampoo and conditioner is a must

  2. If its done properly then No

  3. Yes, it's possible to damage it and it's health... If you're gonna dye your hair, make sure it's done by a professional and you use special shampoo for your hair, like BedHead products.

  4. i could make it more dry but if its done by a pro it should be okay!

  5. no it doesn,t if you dont colour over colour too much and if you follow after care as insructed.

  6. It can do...It depends on how committed you are to look after it after its been done!

I've been lightening my hair for about 6 years, I'm naturally mousy and lighten full head to virtually white, using peroxide/bleach etc.  Its washed daily and I regularly use a hair dryer, so potentially at risk of drying and breaking.

But my hair is in really good condition.  This is because I keep straighteners to a minimum as they are too harsh over used; use conditioner every time its washed; occasionally leave conditioner in over night and wash out in the morning; use salon products for the lightening rather than the chemist box sets, and use a 'leave in' type dry conditioner every day.  This stuff is fantastic, its called Trauma Treatment and although quite expensive (£16 a bottle) you only need a tiny amount and it lasts for ages.  I have short hair so a bottle would last at least 6 months.

Its important to give your hair a rest occasionally, so be prepared to let colour or bleach grow out every so often, before you have treatment upon treatment.

    Hope this helps ;o)

  7. YES!!! :o)

  8. it shouldn't really hurt your hair that much if you just do it once and you do it professionally. it should only get damaged if you keep on doing it. just be careful!

  9. Unfortunately yes it does. I regularly colour my hair blonde (I'm naturally brown) I find that if i use a really good conditioner and a once a week intensive therapy conditioner it limits/helps repair damage. I also use my straighteners quite often so my hair can get really dry. After styling add a little hair serum to the ends. Hope this helps :0)

  10. it can make it dry and brittle, but if you get it done professionally and use a good conditioner afterwards, you will reduce this risk

  11. It won't completely ruin it, but it's not exactly healthy either.

My hair dresser told me that if you go darker [like i did] its a lot more healthy for you hair, and that making it lighter sucks out all the shine and what not.

  12. ruined mine.some hair does ruin, some does not.

  13. yes it damages very badly if you dont use it correctly

  14. Going darker doesnt ruin it as badly...but going lighter definitely does.
