Does contacts have a prescription of it own?

Can you use your normal eye prescription for contacts. IF it has it own prescription whats the difference or can you still use the eye doctor prescription

  1. They are technically different because they are closed to your eye then glasses, but if you go to the eye doctor, and have a valid prescription for glasses, they can order contacts off of that.


  2. You can't really use your normal prescription for contacts because the eye doc has to measure ur eyes and stuff. everyone's eyes have different measurements. chances are... even if u are able to get contacts from somewhere without a proper contacts prescription, they might not be comfortable or the right type for ur eye!
