Does copper for making jewellery contain nickel

I worked with a lady one time who was allergic to nickel.  It's a bad thing because there's so much nickel around in common everyday items.

Yes.  Almost all metals contain nickel.  The only exceptions are "nickel free"  metals (i.e. they say they're nickel free), or pure metals.  Titanium and platinum are the only two metals that I know of that never have nickel added to them - again, unless it specifically says it's nickel-free.
