  1. Applicants?

If you are asking whether passengers can wear eye glasses, then the answer would be, yes.

  2. Yes they do.

    On ships for 10 years!!

  3. you mean applicants as in people wanting a job? in that case, it would be illegal to not let you turn in an application just because you have glasses. that doesn't mean that they have to hire you though. ask about it when you turn in the form.

  4. I wear glasses and have worked onboard for 6 years! You will have a medical before being allowed onboard and if your sight is corrected and does not stop you from carrying out your job then there is no problem at all.

  5. In this era of LASIK nobody needs to wear glasses.

Unless, of course, you want to look like Harry Potter...

  6. If they don't, file a discrimination suit. There are dam-ed few jobs that require 20/20 vision; you're not asking for a job as a fighter pilot!! (Even surgeons are allowed to wear glasses, which actually doesn't make much sense to me personally; I don't want you to go supersonic at fifty feet over my house if you're squinting, and I certainly don't want you to be doing a vasectomy on me if you're squinting either).
