Does curly pudding work on afro hair?

I have afro hair (to be specific, very tight curls not loose,I'm not mixed race). I want to know if all those products work on afro hair, like miss jessie's puddings and other things people use to define curls etc.

Yes hun that stuff work on afro hair I know I use it even though I'm mixed race my hair is very much what you would call afro hair. kinky tight curls.

eta - it also works on my friends hair and they are black

I would suggest usually something in a more mild form.

Not sure what afro hair is because I see people of colour with all types of hair where I live.  My hair is wavy I use Jessie's to make it stay down and not curl up. If you want your hair to stay curly and it is long I don't think Jessie's will work because the pudding is heavy but not greasy.  Have you tried Garnier Fructis sleek & shine it is a leave-in conditioner for frizzy dry hair and I use that also esp. on hot days and its smells great and when it dries in my hair you cannot not feel it.  Someone asked if you are asking about afro why you are using a white avatar - a lot of white females use ethnic hair products to get a certain look - my hair is wave and straight so I need 2 different products.
