  2. It is just a saying just like any others.. Normally it is used so to initiate good customer service, but believe me, some customers can be very rude, mean and soo unappreciating. The saying is only good for bussiness but not literally true..

  3. Of course not. We should not take literally the common saying or concept of making or considering cutomers as always right. To say that customer is always right is to say that they do not do wrong. It has other meaning.

Not always.  No one is ever always right or wrong.  However if you are the owner of an establishment you should always discuss the dispute in an assertive polite manner.  People frequent shops, restaurants etc.. by word of mouth.  So if you solve the dispute amicably your reputation will follow your manner of dealing with customers.  After all you are in business, and you should try your best to keep your good name,

    You may lose some money with one customer, but you will make it up ten-fold by being pleasant with your clientele.
