Does cutting yourself on the neck while shaving hurt the blood supply of the brain?

Lately i was shaving and cut myself on the neck, and it started bleeding. I wiped it and put a bandage on it (it stopped bleeding after a minute or two), but is it possible that i somehow deprived my brain of it's blood, or are the blood vessels that go to the brain are inside deeper?

  1. You have more than a few drops of blood in your body! Unless you cut a main artery, you don't have to worry. And if you had cut an artery, you'd have noticed it, trust me! (you'd be dead by now) Your brain's alright!

  2. If it was enough to damage your brain you would know as it would be a large amount

  3. you would have to hit the carotid artery to cause any loss of volume or pressure to the brain. You can feel it pulse just below the jaw below your back molars

  4. No it doesn't hurt your brain, unless you do a deep cut on your Carotid Arteries that runs up to the brain on both sides of your neck, but that's not possible unless you are using a straight Razor.

  5. Plain and simple no - you would have to  have a much bigger bleed to do any damage such as damage to a major artery  - unless you don't have sufficient blood in the first place and most normal people have plenty - that is how come they are able to donate blood for others to have transfusions when needed

  6. yes it seems like it has already started to effect you
