Does cycling make your legs bigger?

ive starting cylcing, and is it just me or are my calves and quads (thighs) getting larger?

  1. well sure.  you're going to build up muscles in your legs, just as you would if you were lifting weights.


  2. look at some pro riders some time.  they all have bigger legs than you or me.

  3. Well if you didn't have much muscle on your legs at first and it was more fat than your legs will look slimmer, however you will build muscle and eventually your legs will look larger.

  4. When I raced in the 70s my legs were so big that I could only buy certain pants because most would be too tight.

    Im really skinny and my mate i ride with is naturally tank and used to have much bigger claves than me but now since i ride everyday my claves are as big as his
