  1. The official currency of the Czech Republic is the Czech crown (koruna), abbreviated as Kč, with the international abbreviation CZK. 1 crown consists of 100 hellers (haléř), abbreviated as hal.

    Currencies Accepted

As the official currency, the Czech crown is the best and often the only possible currency to use when paying. Although the Czech Republic is part of the European Union, the euro is not widely accepted here yet. Some stores, restaurants and hotels accept payments in euros but the exchange rate may not be very good.

the centre of prague is well pricey, i used to live in Zizkov, by the tv tower, here there are loads of great bars serving beer at 40 to 50p a pint, and its d**n good beer. best to stay out of the city centre too, the citys really easy to get around my tram. the cheapest thing to do is to see the city centr its free! and'll take you bout 3-4 days to see all of it. 300 quid will go a long way as long as you aviod the tourist traps in and around the immediate centre, hope this was useful
