Question:

Does déjà vu have a link to the paranormal phenomena?

I've had on several instances saw people that look very familiar to me, and I feel that we have a "special connection." And what makes it strange is that, I do not even know this person and it is my very first time to catch a glimpse of him.

Now do you even consider that a deja vu?

What could be the reason behind this?

Your answers will be deeply appreciated.

Thank you!

  1. I believe in time travel and that our mind is something else not our brain but are brain is a transmitter receiving our mind from an unknown place is our mind coming from but I say our mind is faster than light. Deja vu is time travel into the future and back to the past in a few seconds because for an unknown reason your mind becomes slower than light. Your looking at a book light bounces off the book to your eyes your brain receives this puts it in short term memory. Then your mind comes late to the brain your eyes still looks at the book light bounces off the book to your eyes brain puts it in short term memory again but your brain already has this image in short term memory making you wonder where you remember seeing this but are unaware of where you could of seen the exact thing from before. Our mind basically skips time then compensates it by giving us a double memory of what we missed but we get baffled and amazed by it.

  2. No dega vu is just the electric signals going to your brain being interupted and arrivir at differant times.

  3. deja vu is something yet unexplained.. I personally have similar experiences quite often and, believe me, it is really disturbing.. You just have to get used to it

  4. Oh dear...*slaps hand on forehead*

It is nothing to do with anything "paranormal". Simply put it just your consciences catching up with what your eyes have just seen or you have just heard. Nothing more, nothing less. It is to do with brain activity. It happens to all of us.

  5. Yes, deja vu has a certain link to the paranormal. In general concept, it is described as something (an event, visions, or persons) which is a "replay" of a previous occurrence that happened before in another place or another time. Others believe that deja vu are glimpses to our past life (or lives), while others regard them as occurrences that have taken place in another dimension. Whatever is the real explanation, deja vu is a phenomenon that is hard to explain and yet they are common experiences similar to our dreams.

  6. in our history are familys did magc made groups called covens wich mingled with other covens and made pacts so in a way a ancestors knew them that why were connected blood ties meaning not kin but pepole who made contracts of old

  7. I know exactly what you mean. My bf and I were like that. We met at 10 y/o and just clicked automatically. It was as if it wasn't our first time meeting. I believe that our souls are intertwined, fate brought us to each other. Psychics have also told us that our meeting was destined, that we have something to learn from each other. I don't know what exactly but I believe the same may be true for you and that person. I wouldn't call it deja vu though.

  8. I've had deja vu. It is so totally weird and unexplainable. It is hard to tell when you are dealing with people you think you know yet don't. It more or less happens during events, not people. It is almost like a shift in space and time it feels like. I've had it where it lasts like a couple of minutes but it feels so profound. Sometimes it is just routine things in my everyday life with people I know. Other times it is in a place I have never been to yet it feels so familiar.

I don't know if I dreamed the whole thing previously or what. It is just really cool when it happens and I try to let it continue for as long as possible.

  9. Some people say this happens because they were in one of your other "lifetimes". I'm not at all sure I agree with the reincarnation theory...but I know that there have been many people in my  life who I've felt a strong "bond" with ...not even knowing them for long at all. They seemed like "family". But they turned out not to be nice people..so don't count on the feelings being mutual.

  10. Well, what you're talking about might not be deja vu. It sounds more like past life connections with those people and somewhere deep inside, you know that you know them. Deja vu IMO, are precognitive dreams (dreams of the future) that we have forgotten upon waking. That's why when it does happen, we get the strange feeling we have experienced it already.

  11. DEJA VU

French for “already seen,” the feeling or illusion of having previously experienced an event or place actually being encountered for the first time; also called “false memory,” or “memory without recognition,” although the phenomenon could conceivably involve precognitive or clairvoyant information, in which case Frederic Myers gave it the name promnesia. [From the Greek pro, “prior to,” + mnesis, “memory”]

  12. There is a scientific answer to the deja vu effect. It really depends on how you believe. I personally believe it is memories of a past life, but that is just my belief. Skeptics do not believe this.
