  1. GM acquired Daweoo...thus Chevy's release of the Aveo....it was a Daweoo product.

  2. Daewoo the company still exists.  They no longer sell cars in the USA - they stopped in 2002.  GM owns/owned the rights to Daewoo automotive when they were selling Daewoos in the USA at GM dealers.  Daewoo has also made/designed several small economy cars for GM over the years, the most recent being the Aveo.

The names of the Daewoo cars sold in the USA were the Lanos, Leganza, and Nubira.  I know someone who has a 2001 Daewoo Lanos Sport Hatchback 5spd and has had it since new.  It's not a bad car especially considering how cheap it was (it has a leather interior, has been surprisingly reliable, and she's gotten about 31mpg per tank of gas over its lifetime).

  3. It has been taken over by General Motors.

  4. Daewoo was brought by chevy they still exist but they are now branded as Chevy's to try and sell more.

  5. I think Daewoo is owned by Ford or GM. They're not here anymore. There is no decline, there were never up!

  6. If you made it this far on the internet and to this Yahoo page, you would think it would be easy enough for you to do a simple Google search on "Daewoo".

My goodness such an easy assignment and you still want someone to do your work for you.....
