  1. Def. I am a dance and you cant just walk into a dance room and catch up. It takes hard work.

  2. haha depends. like ballet  i know for sure you have to be atheletic.

but like hip hop and hawaiian dancing.... ya i've seen alot of fat ppl doing it

  3. Yeah.

    Especially if you're a b-boy.

There are some that require very little athleticism.

  4. Definately. If you want to dance well that is, maybe not so much if you're just doing a little bit socially.

  5. i've never done it before well i do competitive cheerleading and we have dancing in our routine and yeah... i'm sure its a sport and if you think it is then thats all that should matter, i know people dont htink cheerleadings a sport

  6. Serious competitive dancing takes a lot of athletic skills and commitment, but just recital dancing and stuff like that just takes strength and flexibility, and a small amount of athletic skills. but ALL dance takes coordination!!

  7. Absolutely! I was on a dance team and everytime the football players passed by our practice on the way to the football field they would catcall and whistle and some would say we had it easy. Finally we challenged them to do our practice. A couple, just for fun, actually showed up one day. They were out of breath and couldn't even keep up with our warm up! They had a new appreciation for balance, cardio/endurance, flexibility and of course coordination. Sure, quite different from their sport, but different outcome also. Just watch dancing with the stars - alot of pro athletes have done that and admit it is a very taxing workout which requires a great amount of athletic ability.
