  1. no dance is a year round thing. i know at this time of year, my studio doesn't let new kids join because recital is too close for them to learn the routines in time. a lot of dancers also take the summers off at my studio and that usually ends up meaning we don't have enough kids to do all the classes in the summer. the studio(s) you're looking at may have the same problems as mine. just check back in the fall when recitals and summer break are over.

  2. Most studios have their mid year performance in june and then take a few weeks off while everyone is finishing school and graduating.....also competition season is just ending, so if studio's compete then they are going to nationals or taking a break.

  3. yes there are but you can take lessons an where at any seasons

  4. Competitive Ballroom certainly does have seasons, at least in the US. Many dancesport athletes happen to be in school, so the competitive season starts in Autumn and ends in Spring for many, but there are some really cool professional competitions year round and especially in summer, for the most advanced and dedicated ones. It won't interfere with school for those who are in school and it won't matter what time of the year it is for those who are not in school.

  5. sort of.

You still can dance during the "off season", but if you want to sign up for classes, you'll have to wait for the "season" of dancing.
