  1. If you are very hands on and would like to work 40 hours a week or less, go towards dentistry.  Whether you choose dentistry or medicine the schooling is still about 8-10 years after high school.  Also, don't just pick a career for the money.  If it is something you do not enjoy doing the rest of your life, you will be miserable no matter how much money you make.  Good Luck

  2. I really hope your not choosing dentistry or medicine solely on which career makes more money. There are tons of pre-meds/dents that have an absolute passion for helping people that I would HATE for them to lose a spot over for someone who is doing the job for the paycheck.

Moreover, General dentists make more than general doctors, but specialized doctors have a higher range of money they can earn than specialized dentists (i.e. a plastic surgeon will make more than a orthodontist) **However there are alot of exceptions.

P.S. I hope the money is not your only criteria for choosing a career like Dentistry or medicine that demands so much more.

  3. Oh yes. Very much so. So far my dentist has made 10,000.00 off of my teeth.
