  2. In most cases, no. It usually begins once someone thinks about their life too much, all the bad things, what should have been, what could have been better. Thinking about your friends is a way too. Asking yourself if they are true friends, discovering if they are or are not. Parents too. If they really love you, do they give you enough attention or is it just negative attention. The most common effect of depression is thinking of your past. What happened, good or bad. Depression is, in fact, reversible. Think about good things in your life, not what could have been. Almost everything happens for a reason. You should live for today, and forget the past. Don't let your depression get you into trouble and stop it before it makes a long term effect. =)
