  1. Well, no.

    Excepting, of course, that if you watch TV through a digital box on a standard TV, the box will require energy to run in addition to that used by the TV.

    If you're talking about the difference between CRT and LCD/TFT - flatscreens require less juice than cathode ray tube sets.

    The actual analogue/digital nature of the signal has little to do with anything.
