Does dirt bike front forks lose oil do to riding?

im getting dirt bike and the guy tells me that it may need oil in its front forks. can it need oil without leaking

  1. no. if it needs fork oil then it has bad seals, they are cheap but can get expencive, id say stay away


  2. no they are probibly leaking...if you bike requires it you might need to bleed the air out of the top of your forks after each ride to make them last longer..check your manual

No.  It's all sealed up so if the oil level is low then it's got to be leaking somewhere.  Now, he might mean that the oil in the forks needs to be changed, which is a regular service item.  Since I don't know the make, model and year of your bike so I can't tell you how often yours needs to be changed.  Also, he might mean that the forks need additional oil in order to make them stiffer.  More oil = stiffer ride.
