Does dirt get in the joints when you lay linoleum tiles?

I have linoleum in my kitchen. The tiling was so scratched so we laid a sheet of linoleum when we moved into this rented home. We have one joint as the width of the linoleum roll was not enough to go right across the room. The joint looks dirty and is prone to wear and tear. I was wondering if linoleum tiles also have dirt that collect in between.

the stick on tiles are a headache... they have 4 seams per tile... they do attract dirt and will start to buckle with any moisture applied to them.  stay away from them unless you have to use them.
