Does divorce have positive effects?

If you want to bring God into the equation, the Bible says that he hates divorce. But it also says he allows for divorce because of marital unfaithfulness. If a man is cheating on his wife the wife would have good reason to divorce and vise verse.

Unless you have some deviant, submissive tendencies to be chained and whipped, FREEDOM (read as single) is the best status.

If I did not divorce my first husband I would never be where I am today, or who I am today. I am very happy with my life now. So yes, my divorce was very positive.

if it was a bad marriage, then it's for the best if you divorce.  cheating, abuse, or drugs/alcohol are good reasons.  anything else can be worked through.
