  1. HEY ROMPER STOMPER TOP ANSWER..ITS LIKE ANYTHING WE ENJOY . HITTING THE SWEET SPOT AT THE RIGHT TIME .I THINK SQUATS ARE REALLY FOR WHEN THE COACH RUNS OUT OF TRAINING DRILLS. THEY SUCK GOOD LUCK

  2. No mate, nothing to do with leg size, it's about timing and hitting the ball in the right spot, i have seen plenty of blokes 60-70kg kick it a mile, an AFL example is Eglelton for the bulldogs, that bloke can really kick it long.

I wouldn't say don't do them because it will only help you, it will make you stronger through the legs and hips making it tougher for opponents to tackle you to the ground, look at Judd, rob Harvey, g ablett etc, these guys are strong in that area.

  3. it doesnt exactly make u kick longer, but stronger legs mean u have added strength to kick, jump and hold your ground during a game and its the better of most leg exercises

  4. No.

It's the best way to do wees if yooz a girl, though!

  5. i wouldn't say that it would make your kicks longer, muscular strength and muscular power are totally different things. Muscular power helps more with kicking the ball. Try doing exercises more specific to power. Sprints up soft sand dunes with weights around ankles always help.

  6. No.

By thinking you can kick further by having big muscly legs is akin to thinking you can hit a golf ball further by buying a heavier golf club.

  7. Legs and hip strength will allow you to kick further.

Obviously technique comes into it as well.

  8. Absolutely.  You are strengthening your leg muscles.

  9. No.

You can have legs treetrunk legs like the Pies cheer squad but it's all in the timing, pal.

  10. some of these answers are stupid. they're saying that if you time it correctly, then you will kick it far??? so are you saying, that if i kick it absolutely perfect, ill get it 60 metres? i dont think so. it comes down to technique AND strength in the legs. and you can develop strength by doing squats. so YES, it does help
