Does dominican have drug problems such as pot? or cocaine?

i never hear anything about it, and when i was there in domincan i saw some smoking pot beind a bar in purta plata, maybe it wasnt pot, but i thought it was a jail term of 25 yr or death if they did that stuff there. or even shot to death.

129 (Level 1) I just returned from a 9 day vacation to Sosua Dr and I got pulled over for not wearing my seatbelt he just wanted 20 bucks and i was on my way. I asked the owners of the villa if the police are bad in the dominican. he told me that usually they just want money from tourists, but do not argue with them, just pay or they will put you in a very bad jail until you are willing to pay. He told me they are relativly harsh on drugs but $100 dollars will get you out of anything. In theory I bought some marijuana but it wasnt very good. So I stuck to the cocaine wich is AMAZING and CHEAP and can be found on any street corner, ask for eddie murphy and tell him Chris sent you. he can find anything you want. Hypotheticaly ;) I love the dominican.

im dominican and you dont get shot or killed you might get a couple years if you get cougt but in the D.R tht is rare no dumn*ss is going to get cougt. and its spelled *puerto plata

yep, sorry to tell you, but drug problems are everywhere... there's no escaping...

And I'm not familiar with Dominican law, but I don't think it's punishable by death.

Many tourist bring their stuff in the country and smoke or use it in the hotels and tourist areas, so it is possible that you saw this in Punta Cana... It is a shame, but they destroy themselves with it!... Yes the people smoking or dealing this stuff are taking to jail for many years (20 to 30) and then if they are still alive deported to their country where they have to do some time again...

Do you know of any third world country where people don’t have access to drugs like pot? We have it too, however we do not get 25 yrs for using it that’s only for distribution in big. Also we don’t have the death penalty so you don’t get shot unless you are selling it where you are not suppose to and the other gang see you. :)
