  1. sounds like aliens have something to do with this, wrap your computer in tinfoil and you'll be good to go.

  2. Hi There,

Downloading files via Bittorrent will not necessary slow down your COMPUTER speed, but it will slow down your INTERNET speed due to the large amounts of data being transfered between the Internet and your computer.

If you are asking whether its easy to get viruses from bittorrent - the answer is yes. Some people rename viruses and upload them as bittorrent files. So when you think your downloading The.simpsons.episodes.4.avi - you may in fact be getting a virus :)

Best way to protect yourself is to install an Anti-Virus program.

  3. when you are downloading a torrent, it consists of millions of parts from different people, a virus may have gotten attached to the torrent from another peer. however you virus scanner will be monitoring all the info that is entering your computer from the net.

Its not that dangerous since your anti virus shoud be able to spot it and put it to qurantine. There is no way of stopping this, unless you stop to torrent.

Also once you have downloaded your whole file right click on it and scan for spyware and viruses, and you should be good.

    hope this helped.

  4. there is probably high chance of getting infected by virus if downloading from torrent and virus makes the computer really slow and if you want to protect your computer than download any anti-virus from torrent( i prefer AVG full or complete version ) instead of buying it.

  5. Any files you download from torrent will not come from legitimate website so the contents are questionable. Sometimes you don't get what you want instead you may get virus or any funny things and mostly you can find out after you finish downloading the files. So what you can do is reading the preview and see the people's comments about the files you want to download

  6. yes a virus can be downloaded into ur comp from a torrent. it would not take affect rt away but wait untill u restart ur comp or secretly s***w up ur hard drive....when messing with torrents i recomend at least 2 antiviruses and a good firewall... if u notice ur comp going slow after a download a few days later u should do a complete full scan of ur comp... and then defrag it to speed up performance.

  7. Simple, No.
