As far as know hangovers are caused by the body being dehydrated as a result of loss of water in the body from drinking heavily. So price or quality shouldn't be too much of a factor. Or is it?

  1. Absolutely not.

The amount of sugar in alcohol is what gives you a hangover.

  2. yes i think so. but i will make you sick!!!

  3. The majority of the hangover is caused by the ethanol dehydrating you, but some of it is caused by the impurities in the alcohol.

You will never be able to completely avoid one...no matter how pure the liquor is. You can only reduce the effects.

  4. The cheaper stuff can have more impurities which can make the hangover worse than if you were drinking good stuff.

  5. any type of alcohol can cause a hangover. the best way to prevent a hangover is after you are done drinking if you are still standing is to eat something and drink several glasses of water. that will start to rehydrate you. the headache part of the hangover is caused by dehydration. so rehydrating asap will help. the food will help absorb the toxins in the alcohol and prevent the nausea feeling. the other poster was correct the better the alcohol the less likely a severe hangover. stuff like skyy or grey goose vodka has very little impurities. but still if you drink a half gallon of skyy and pass out you will wake up with a severe hangover. my time tested and marine corps proven hangover relief is to eat and drink water before going to bed. i get up and start drinking gatorade. i drink a 32oz gatorade in like two minutes to start rehydrating.

  6. Yes, the cheap stuff has sub-par ingredients and less clean water.
