Does driving with the parking brake on damage my car's axle assembly?

I was driving Friday night and I didn't notice that I had my parking brake on. I drove for around a kilometer. I immediately released it when I noticed.

I drove the car Saturday & Sunday and nothing seems to be wrong.

Then come Monday night, at some point when I was driving, I noticed my car isn't straight, and that I was leaning to the right. I immediately parked and inspected whether I had a flat tire only to see that my tires are as good as new. I don't know if I just passed an inclined road, or is it just psychology, or if there's really some damage in my car.

I also wonder if this is caused by my driving with the parking brake? The brakes seem loose than normal, but perfectly working. My steering seem to be a bit loose too.

  1. Well I drove my boss's company truck with the parking brake up. At first nothing happened, but on a road one of the wheels rolled off and I crashed into McDonalds. They didn't even offer me a free happy meal for my ordeal! O, but man, that cop was hot.

  2. well actually alittle parking brake is good for ur car i do it every sunday for 5 miles my car is awsome

  3. You can damage your axle because it is in a locked position, Go to see a mechanic.

  4. It would just wear your pads or discs. Anything else would be just more trouble from something else.

  5. No...just wears the pads on your emergency brakes.
