Does eBay count as an on-line retailer to purchase a pocket knife in Virginia?

I'm pretty sure there's a law in VA that says some pocket knives can only be bought through on-line retailers, so my main question is can eBay be used to buy such a knife without violating state law?

I also have another small query. I am actually an under 18 eBay user, but with my parents permission. If they know about it, is it legal for me to win and pay for a foldable pocket knife myself?

I don't think Ebay gives a hoot to tell you the truth.

YOU can't participate on ebay if you're underage.

But your parents can open an account through their name and buy it for you.

And ebay counts as an on-line retailler.

If ebay found out, your account would be suspended.  You are not of legal age to be entering into a contract, which is what Ebay is.
