Does ebay immediately charge you for listing fees?

I'm about to put an item on ebay; Does it immediately charge me the listing fee or can I pay it when I'm ready?

  1. E-Bay has two types of fees, an Insertion fee, and a final value fee.  They invoice once a month, then charge your credit card or deposit account.  They charge for the complete month of activity all at once.
