  1. Here are some facts that may help.you make an argument

Having more money makes people more satisfied with their   lives and people in Rich countries  are more satisfied than in poor ones. It is possible to make the argument  that this satisfaction arises from better relationships not just having more stuff.

The process of rapid growth  produces income inequality which is correlated with  increases  in crime,   but poverty is not,  when everyone is poor.

  2. FOR:

When times are better, people are less stressed out about other factors that would negatively affect a relationship.  They have more money to splurge on their significant other.  They aren't worried about tomorrow.

    AGAINST:

When times are hard, people are forced to rely on their communities and families for support.  They solidify the commitments they have to others around them by integrating themselves into the community.  Families become more important because everyone must help out and put in their part.

  3. Although ideally love is thought to surpass unfortunate circumstances, a bad economy affects EVERYONE, and I do believe that when your thoughts have to be focused on keeping business afloat, you will be less concerned with nurturing a relationship

  4. Well, economic growth creates greater per capita wealth and ensures that there is plenty of work for people to do. To that extent it probably alleviates conflicts that might come if growth were stagnant and people were fighting for limited jobs and resources. On the other hand you can argue that economic growth makes people more independent of each other and they spend more time doing things like answering and posting answering questions on Yahoo than dealing with friends and family.
