Does ecotourism mean traverling around the country?

Ecotourism is travelling around the country with an "ecological" theme.  When you're on an ecotour, you're pretty much just going to see nature at its best, not much else!  A perfect example is a guided tour of the rainforest in the Amazonas/Manaus region of Brazil.

Means tourism trhu nature, without destroying, poluting, harming the environement, etc...

Even though aparently its not always what happens.

Recently there was a fire in Rio´s Floresta da Tijuca (Massive forest in the middle of the city) and the fireman blamed Ecotourists droping a cigarette butt.
