Question:

Does entertainment make time go faster?

If I stopped going on the computer and reading all the time (don't really watch T.V but that too) would time go slower? If I spent other time doing more wholesome things would time go slower?

I know this is a weird question but my greatest fear is time flying by. Didn't really know which category to put it in.

  1. The speed of time does not change.   It is always moving forward at the rate of 60 minutes per hour.

  2. Time won't change, but your perception of time will change.

The key to not having time "flash by" is to keep doing new things, and keep your brain engaged.   After all, what you really have is your memories, and if you fill your brain with new memories all the time by doing challenging or new things, then when you get to the end of the activity, you won't say "where did the time go?" but you will KNOW where it went.

The opposite of this is boredom that makes time stretch out so long. There are no new memories, nothing is happening.  This is a bad feeling, and is why being in jail is such punishment, every day the same, nothing new to do.  Time drags on and on.  (or perhaps in a class in school that you hate!).

Making time stretch this way isn't worth it!  Lots of nothing is nothing
