Im going sking hoiliday soon has eny 1 got any strength or health tips or even tips on actually skiing ???

  1. General body conditioning, swimming, jump rope, Exercycle, and allow a night at altitude before you start skiing.  Drink plenty of water every day while skiing, wear a water pack and sip constantly.  

       Take a package of lessons from a qualified professional, layer your clothing except your socks, (one pair only) in your boots.  Your boots should fit TIGHT, around your foot and ankle, wear a hat that covers your ears, also a good pair of gloves and eye protection, Sunscreen (SPF 35+).

      Enjoy the sport, make new friends and keep the old ones.

    Ice down all of your muscles right after skiing to avoid stiffness.


  2. just wear a helmet and ski googles and you should be fine. i hav been skiing since i was 3 and i hav never prepared to go skiing, you may hav sore muscles the next day but it will soon go away. dont fall over and you will be fine:)

  3. My thoughts to you would be to take a flask in case you get stranded you will have something to keep you warm. Serioulsy-there are always free beginners lessons offered (at most resorts) take advantage of that and you should be okay. Also, make sure your equipment is in good shape.

  4. do some trainin esp of your leg muscles, walkin stairs, doin steps ups

    def get some lessons wen u r there otherwise u will not enjoy it near as much

  6. when you get in to the boots, dont bend your ankles or bend over in them. it hurts really bad and it could break your ancle.

  7. WORK OUT.  Go Biking, do leg and arm excercies, and core excercises.  These will get you inshape for skiing and will help prevent injury.  When skiing, start out slow and work up.
