  1. Go into your groups listing and choose edit group.  There is a place closer to the bottom to edit your e-mail options.  I have all mine on the one where I only get mailed important messages form the moderator and I just peruse through the posting whenever I want.  keeps the e-mails to a minimum

  2. leaving a group via the unsubscibe e-mail is faulty, if that's the only way you can leave, you will need the help form

    http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/groups/...

go to group home page and click edit membership top middle of page- bottom right click Leave Group- next page confirm and click Leave

    or

go to this link http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups click edit my groups on the top left- locate group (if there's more than one) under the last column check the small box - click save changes

abuse form- cant add w/o permission

How can I prevent moderators from adding me to their groups or sending me invitations?

  3. Log in to the Yahoo Groups home page ( http://groups.yahoo.com/ ).  Then find this Group in the list on the left-hand side of the page, and click on the name of this Group.  Then click Edit Membership near the middle of the top line (just below the ad if there is one).  From here, you have two choices.

If you just want to stop the e-mails but remain a member of the Group, then scroll down to Step 2 Message Delivery.  In that section, select either Special Notices or Web Only (whichever you prefer).  Don't forget to click the Save Changes button (towards the lower-right-hand corner) when you're done.

If you also want to leave the Group (which will automatically stop the e-mails), then click the Leave Group button down in the lower-right-hand corner.  Then follow any directions on the resulting page.

EDIT : Also note that it is against Yahoo Groups Guidelines to add a person to a Group without their permission (see # 5 in http://groups.yahoo.com/local/guidelines... ).  If this has happened in this case, then you can report it to Yahoo Groups staff by filling out the Abuse form at http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/groups/... .
