  2. yes it does its effect activates after it is normal summoned

  3. yes. you can only equip union monsters when it's on the field. then you can activate its effect to equip the appropriate monster. so you might need to use up a normal summon to do that

  5. you cannot equip it from your hand ... you need to summon the monster then you can equip it ... the only time i can think of that this isnt true is when using roll out ... so yes if you want to equip it from your hand you must normal summon it then equip it by its effect
