Does ethanol interact with erythromycin?

just wanna know if ethanol can have adverse effect on erythromycin, clindamycin, teracycline or in drug in those families in which it would be harmful to human body.

  2. The general advice is to avoid alcohol while on antibiotics. In some cases one can increase the side effects of the other.  Erythromycin may cause an Antabuse effect - nausea, flushing, vomiting if you drink alcohol.

  3. Topical antibiotic ointments like erythromycin, may include ethanol in its ingredients since it is used to cleanse and dry the skin. But if you are concerned with taking alcohol with antibiotics orally, it may not be a good idea.

    Although research is still being conducted on it, there have been findings that point to adverse effects especially on the liver in people with a history of alcohol abuse.
