  1. First you must look at your question. Who said you have a right to be happy?

It's in the American constitution, but that can suspended at any time, as it is currently under the Patriot Act. "Rights" are not rights if they can be taken away.

So the short answer is, no one has the "right" to be happy; they can either be happy or not be happy.

As for prisoners, they have the same right, but others can make the choice to take their happiness away. Society deems we can do that to a certain point, but not fully.

This is more a philosophical question. One answer has said if they feel guilt, another may say if they can benefit humanity in some way. Everyone will have different standards.

In the end though, happy or not, it's a state of being, an individual choice, and you can only affect it so far.

  2. Happiness has no cause, and every human has the choice of being happy, or unhappy.

Contrary to what people think, happiness is not caused by something. It is a choice.

Happiness is not related with your nationality or ur status, or if you are a prisoner or not. God would not be so intelligent doing this:)))

If you want to be happy, good. If you don't, good. Problem is that, once a human, you cannot escape your choice. But, everyone tries that:P

If you want to relate happiness to something, relate it to you, to your being.

From my experience I saw that the feeling of happiness grows, slowly but steady, when you are being yourself, spontaneous.

So, happiness is not related with what you were, what you've done, what you are. These will transform from the moment you decide you want to be happy from now on...

    Hope I helped:P

  3. prisoners? no. prison isn't a vacation it's supposed to be a punishment.

  4. everyone has the right to be happy. as long as they realized their mistakes, and change themselves, then they can be happy.

  5. Everyone has the right to be happy but the question is - can you be happy after comitting a terrible crime. Whether or not the person has served their time in prison and is now free the question still remains - can they be happy? Guilt, anger, regret and all sorts of emotions would play a huge part in attempting to get on with their lives and be happy. Its not something society can say - yes you have the right to be happy The question would be,  can they be happy? Happiness depends alot on your frame of mind, can the 'bad person' move on and be happy. It would be an individual thing.

  6. Yes if they change and regret what they did

  7. no

there in prison in the first place hence doing something bad to get there

like murder and rape yea cause they have to be happy wtf is wrong with u and let me say 1 fing those guys got it easy they sit on there asses all day getting free food and shelter cause they did stuff whilst the rest of us good tax payers pay for as far im concerened they should be dumped in the desert and good luck to them

  8. wihle in prison no they shouldnt be happy

when they come out if they come out its their second chance so yeah i guess

  9. You don't have a right to be happy, that is a state of mind.  The right to so something is a legal or moral entitlement.  If you break the law and are found guilty these rights are revoked.  If prison was a happy place to go, then we all would want to be there, so the purpose is a punishment for their crimes, so legally and morally they don't have to be happy, just treated fairly.

  10. Prisoners have no rights. It is up to an individual if they can find ways to be happy in their environment.

  11. Can you imagine a life without any form of happiness? No family, no friends etc. Nobody deserves that.

  12. After serving their time in jail, when they are just like any other ordinary person. Really hope people will give them another chance i our soceity. When they are a change man, then they have the right to be happy just like any other people on Earth.
