My cycle is just getting back to normal after come off the birth control pill 6 months ago,

and I don't want it to get screwed up again.

I plan to start taking Evening Primrose Oil to enhance the quality of my cervical mucus but I don't want to alter my menstrual cycle.

Will taking EPO affect it?

Thanks.

  1. If you take more than 3000mg of EPO, it can delay ovulation...which may or may not lengthen your cycle, but it will certain cause some change.

We are currently TTC and I started taking EPO and it has given me some really good fertile cervical membranes and has actually shortened my cycle by a few days!  I never take anymore than 1500mg though.

You will want to stop taking it as soon as you ovulate though because EPO can cause some cramping with could prevent implantation of the fertelised egg....not something you want if you want to get pregnant!

    Good luck!!!

  2. no it shouldn't have any impact on your cycles at all, you can read more about this, ask doctors online for free and find others who have used it, try fertilityties.com

    good luck!
