Does every teen lie to their parents???

going through a crisis here with my little sis. =) please help

I'm fifteen and I don't lie. There are some things I'm uncomfortable talking about, so I just won't answer, but I try very hard to stay away from the whole lying bit. No person of any age necessarily would lie, but the negative influences (media, "celebs," etc.) tend to be aimed at younger and younger kids every day, which would explain why the whole stereotypical "teenage attitude" has turned into something more prevalent in little kids, with society dubbing them "teeny boppers," since they are adopting that attitude.

Other than that, hormones are raging, and the teenager is growing up.

   you did it.she probably learned it from you.and yes all teenagers lie to there parents.the important thing is how the parent handles it after they find out.they must teach the child the dangers of lying.more so to there parents.and tell your parents she has or is lying to them.its the right thing to do.

unless their a goody two shoes, have "cool" parents, or their parents don't give a sh-t about what happens to them, then yeah, pretty much.

Most try it. All a form of learning limits and pushing the envelope. Seeing how much they can get away with. Or for attention.

I only live with my mom and I don't talk to my dad

Yes. In one point or time, everyone lies. Even if its a harmless little white lie.

ofcourse most teens do lie to their parents. Trust me on this one.. because i have lots of teenage friends that lies to their parents all the time, just to get things their own way. I'm a teenager myself... and i do recall lying to my mom once or twice when i was 13. But it was for silly things.. I always had a guilty consious.. and with that, i never had that guts to lie.. my mom give me everything i needed... and she trusted me.. so basically i never had no reason to lie about anything.. and i'm not the type to party a lot with friends.. so there wasn't no reason for me to lie to go out.. most time i just ask--since i'm not 18. When she says no.. i just shut up and forget about that.. and be mad for 30 mins. I really understand the point in parents.. i know and i understand them about 98% of the time.. and honestly they are 99% right at all times... but teenagers fail to understand these things sometimes...
