Does everyone who has anorexia become that skinny or can you just do it to lose weight?

I just want to be skinny not anorexic skinny, but the only FAST way is to be anorexic.

  1. Well for a while, I started water fasting cuz I needed to lose a few pounds for a photoshoot. I looked at thinspo and developed anorexic behavior, but I chose to quit after the photoshoot.

    Some people can control their anorexia, others can't.


  2. Anorexia is not something you choose, its something you are. Literally. You aren't yourself anymore. Diets work. Get a DDR. Stop worrying. you have the choice before you:

    A. Slow diet.

    B. Mental Hospital.

    PS Have you read the book 'Perfect'?

  3. If you have good control over your emotions and have a stable life, then yes, you can just be anorexic to lose the weight and snap out of it later.

    But the effects are still horrible (thinning hair, bags undereyes, insomia, memory loss..etc)

  4. you cant just become "anorexic." there's criteria that can and usually does take months (even years) to meet before you get that classification.

    what you're referring to is the starvation diet... it's completely different. sometimes the fat comes back, sometimes it doesnt. it depends on how much you start eating after you finish up the diet.

  5. You can't just one day say I'm anorexic, its an eating disorder and trust me, you don't want it!!! Its horrible just lose weight like everyone else in the world, eat right and stay active. There is no time saying I have to lose weight by this date!

  6. You can actually lose weight by not eating a lot...  and I know it can be bad BUT just starve yourself for a couple months and once you are at your goal weight eat the right calorie amount to maintain your weight.  

  7. You can lose weight by eating healthily and excercising, but don't skip meals or stop eating because it can make you put on weight, when you start eating normally, and whatever you do PLEASE don't starve yourself

  8. Bad idea, when I was younger (around 16) I used to do that. I lost weight fast , sure, but eventually I got hungry and then I binged and gained even more weight then what I started with. The best way is a healthy diet and exercise, I know that you hear that from everybody but it's true  and it took me years to finally accept that. I have lost 24 pounds in 2 and a half months that's more than I've ever lost with a starvation diet and it's staying off.I'm happier than ever and I get to eat! Don't wait years, I know that you want to lose it fast, but you will only end up hurting yourself, slow and steady wins the race.
