Does everything comes with a string?

People kept saying...' no strings attached and all that'... but hey, I've seen no strings attached to anything else my entire life.

Where are they keeping the strings anyway? Are there only a chosen few who can see them?

No, but remember that your mileage may vary, and although the best thing in life may be free, batteries are not included.  Therefore don't set your expectations of people too high, and beware of Trojan horses.

No, sometimes they come with a spoon - a wooden spoon (like in ice cream) or silver spoon (as when dining).  The only thing I know that comes with a string is a balloon however, nowadays it comes with a plastic stick.

Joking aside, not everything comes with a string.  Others come with a conscience and still others come with no expectation of being repaid for any good deed or favor given.

hmmm,most things do,yoyos, kites etc,favors from family or friends always do,and mainly loans,smart people always see the strings,I never do

just like puppets with strings tied to your fingers. a single movement from a finger will move the puppet. it's like for a favor asked, a gratitude must be given. when they say "no strings attached", they mean you don't have to repay or reciprocate the act. they do not expect anything in return.

...most strings are invisible yet strong.  but they should not have been there in the first place.  some people are under the impression that a favor done should be repaid a thousand times.  that is very wrong!  favors are given freely and wholeheartedly; otherwise we might as well call it influence peddling.  let's leave that to politicians.
