  1. I believe that everything happens for a reason, good or bad.

Life is just one long lesson!!!

  2. No.  There's "what happened", and then there's the story we humans tell about it -- the meanings we add to it, and the reasons we make up about it after the fact -- in order to make "what happened" fit into our preconceived and limited view of the world.

  3. I wanted to give you the obvious answer that many others have given--nothing can happen without a cause, and in that sense, everything happens because of whatever caused it.  But I don't think that that is what you are asking about. Usually people asking this question want to know if there is an intelligence behind the universe that has a plan for everything, that When children are molested and when loved one's die, that some good end is served by these tragedies.

I would have to answer "yes" and "no" to this question.  Many awful things in the world happen because of bad luck or because of the foolishness of people.

I also believe that we can give these tragedies purpose by choosing to respond to them in a spiritual way. There's that old cliche, when we suffer, we have a choice:  we can get bitter or we can get better.

I believe that we give meaning and value to our misfortunes when we choose to learn from them.  I believe that if we blame others or ignore our shortcomings, or avoid our responsibility then we suffer the pointlessness of our problems.

  4. Yes Yes Yes and though you may not see why at first, you will soon realise why it all happened later on down the track.

  5. im just wondering what the answer is?

  6. Yes

  7. Yeah, though is it because of our past and the base(Our molecule structures)?  Or is it for and because of the future(complete achievement)?

Like every action has a reaction.

  8. Uh, I don't think so. Like if you lose your cellphone for the hundredth time, what's the reason for that?

  9. Yes

  10. No, its like randm sequences which might mean something later but doesn't mean that its all planned or for a reason.

HAHAHA just kidding yes everything happens for a reason, just need to figure out why, life would be lot easier trust me.:)

  11. technically, yes.  i can move my arm at my side right now for no reason.  but you could say the reason is i told my brain to, and the nerves reacted, etc.  something falls, you blame gravity.

in terms of like human's actions, and needing motivation, no, not really.  like if you saw the dark knight, that illustrates it pretty well.  the quote "some men just want to watch the world burn."

  12. We exist within a causal universe, so everything does happen for a reason.  But the reason almost always has nothing to do with and isn't determined by you.  I think there is always a reason but necessarily a purpose.
